IDC STANDS FOR INDIVIDUALIZED, DEDICATED & COMMITTED

INDIVIDUALIZED

IDC serves nursing homes and other institutionalized populations within the framework of each individualized institution, and is geared toward each individual patient.
               DEDICATED
The staff is dedicated to providing quality care to patients. By offering accessible bedside care, IDC reaches out to patients who might otherwise be forced to neglect their dental health.
                      COMMITTED
IDC assembles a team of health care professionals who are committed to each facility and who develop working, caring relations with patients and staff.

IDC: A FULL-SERVICE ORAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

Most institutions have neither the time, space, nor money to invest in a full-fledged dental office; or to use staff time to keep track of the patient’s dental history and the necessary paperwork. IDC trained staff assesses the needs of the patient, provides emergency and routine care, and establishes and maintains an environment that is conducive to quality oral health care in accordance with federal and local guidelines. IDC is a cost effective preventive system that works.

ABOUT THE STAFF

The IDC staff includes a dentist and a clinical coordinator for each facility. The coordinator schedules appointments and maintains comprehensive dental records and service delivery data. Each member of the staff has received extensive training in the care of geriatric and disabled patients. Dentists and support staff are recruited from the local area.

IDC PROVIDES IN-SERVICE EDUCATION

IDC trains nursing home personnel in the delivery of oral hygiene to their patients. This includes hands-on instructions and video presentations as required by federal regulations. Educating new personnel is a vital on-going process for all health care practitioners.
